Beep Beep!

Chimmie doesn't know it yet, but he is going to the Vet in a few minutes to get his distemper shot. I sure hope that improves his temperament somewhat. Honestly, we do love him and when he is calm, he is the sweetest boy ever. Even I don't look at Linda with that much love in my eyes. He is adorable, funny and does not have one mean bone in his scrawny, gangling body. There are two issues. One, he can't get the hang of the pee-pee pad. He runs to the pee pad AFTER he has an accident. He knows the pad=pee, but has the order messed up. Second: It's like he drinks nothing but caffeine laden Red Bull 23 hours a day. No matter how much exercise he gets, he is still like the Road Runner. I've never seen him walk anywhere. He doesn't even run. He sprints at top speed. When it's time to run back to his room to eat, you just see a black blur going down the hall. WE need Cesar the Dog Whisper to come to our house.

(Linda just told me the shot isn't for his temperament, it's so he does not get sick.)

UPDATE: Chimmie got two shots, his ears cleaned and his nails cut. When the Dr. cleaned his ears, he screamed like she was cutting off his tail! Everyone in the waiting room got scared and all the other dogs started freaking out! Linda also made his appointment to get "fixed". She might go somewhere else though. The make him stay over night after the surgery, but everyone goes home at 8:00 p.m. and does not return until 7:00 the next morning. What if he needed attention or some love during the night? He would just cry and cry. Linda is going to call a few other places to see if another vet has an overnight staff to check on him.
