Two caring deer gave Sammy the cat some comfort in his last days. Sammy was a 9-year old cat who was diagnosed with kidney failure. Her owner was devastated when Sammy stopped eating and drinking. Sammy was an indoor cat who always longed to go outside, so in the last days of his life, his human let him out into the yard to bask in the sun. Suddenly, out of the neighboring woods, 2 deer made their way up to Sammy and started licking and nuzzling him around the head and neck, almost like they were comforting him. Two days later Sammy died. This is such a sweet story, it made me cry. When Linda isn't feeling well, I always lick and kiss her to make her feel better... I can tell it works because she always smiles.
