Usually pants stuffing shoplifters makes me happy. People stuff the strangest things down their pants. I'm not so happy about this one. A man received 7 years/8 months in jail for shoving a $3.99 package of cheese down his pants in a convenience store. No weapons were used nor was anyone injured. The reason for the jail time is California's three-strike, your out law. His two earlier offenses, 30 years ago, include throwing a soda can at his brother when he was a teen. The other charge was stealing stuff when he was a teenager. The man also is bipolar and has been under a Dr.'s care. He'll have to serve 3-years before he is even eligible for parole.
