5 Good Things

Yesterday just flew by for Linda.  She was busy from the time she woke up until 9:30 p.m.  I'm so glad Jerry was able to come and walk us while she was gone.  He has been avoiding taking us on the trail because of the snake over-population, but he decided to try again Saturday afternoon.  There were no incidents and thankfully, no deer in sight.  Lots of good things happened Saturday:

This is a shot from her 4-5 year old class
1.  Linda's TKD school at Gold's Gym is really growing.  Her "dojo" is in the Mind & Body studio (yoga and Pilates room.)  It's an aqueduct space, but the student base is expanding and they could not all fit on Saturday!  She had to take the class into the basketball court to warm up, then split the class into Beginner/Advanced.  Linda stayed with the higher ranks in the BB court and Mr. Ethan took the lower ranks back to the dojo. It's a great problem to have, but she might need to rework the schedule and split the group permanently.

2.  You already know about Jerry's visit.  He is out of town a lot on weekends, so it's always a special treat for Chim and I when he can come over.  Don't get me wrong, I love being walked by Linda and PW too, it's just that Jerry is my hero.  I'm his lil' princess and he spoils me rotten.

3.  The second Saturday of the month is Linda's care team meeting.  Some folks would equate it with a pot-luck Bible study, but it's so much more.  There is a lot of good food and Bibles are involved, but it's more like a round table discussion of what God has been speaking to your personally through Pastor's teachings that month.  It's her favorite night of the month (followed by the Sunday nights she is in the nursery with Penelope!)
Just one day old!

4.  Linda slept!  Finally, after a full seven days of insomnia, Linda fell asleep quickly and stayed asleep all night.  Nothing changed in her diet or schedule, there is absolutely no rhyme or reason why it starts up and then suddenly disappears.

5.  Fred finished his 24-Hour bike ride and raised more than his goal of $2,400!  Linda was there at Noon yesterday when he got off the bike. He was walking and talking, but he looked exhausted.  Great job Fred!
