24 Hours

This is Linda's friend and fellow Body Pump instructor Fred.  Right now he is in the lobby of their gym biking for 24 straight hours to raise money for Livestrong and 2 other charities for cancer research.  Fred is a cancer survivor and now does endurance races just for fun!  He started pedaling today at noon and will finish on Saturday at noon.  Wow, that's a long time to ride a bike. (He is taking short 2 minute bathroom breaks every 2 hours.)  When Linda put her donation in the bucket, it already had a lot of money... $10's, $20's and some $50's.  He is also taking donations via paypal and credit card.  You can visit his facebook page to find out how to donate. 

Our very own Penelope is getting ready for some training of her own tonight.  At Family Fun Night, instead of the regular board games and basketball games, there will be an Olympic event.. complete with Track & Field, Equestrian and Biking events.  Penny is the official mascot of The Great Britain team.  Linda is on the Brazilian team, but she'll just be cheering her athletes on, not competing.  Tune in later for some fun photos!
