I don't know how I could live with myself if this happened to me. I love Linda so much, that if I ever shot her with a gun I would feel just horrible. A Labrador who was duck hunting with his human accidentally stepped on his owners gun and it fired, hitting the man in the upper back! This is a nightmare. Once, I almost made Linda fall down the stairs when I ran in front of her and stopped on a step, but she was agile enough to stop from falling. If I ever shot her? That would just be unforgivable. The man lived and will be fine, and I hope the dog will not suffer permanent emotional damage.
