Welcome Home!

Linda was having breakfast with a friend this morning. They were talking about their experience with their dogs. Sheba, a full blood Siberian Husky, used to escape our fenced back yard. She would dig under the fence or chew away the boards to get away. One time she went about 5 miles away and was found near our local golf course. We though that was soooo far until we read this story today. The Holt's have a German shepherd that had been missing from their Virginia home since last December. They gave up on ever finding their beloved dog. Then the phone call came. An animal control officer in Florida found the dog running in a parking lot. He was picked up by animal control and taking to the pound. Sure enough, Deacon the dog was microchipped and his parents were called. The Holts made the 600 mile trip to pick him up! What a happy ending. I bet Deacon will think twice about making the trip to Disney alone!
