Doodles

New York does not mess around when their elementary school kids break the rules. Yesterday you read my story about the tiny Lego gun that got the little boy in trouble. Today a 12-year old Queens girl was handcuffed and taken to the police station. Why? She doodled on her desk with erasable marker. Meaning to erase it right away, the teacher caught her lime-green handed when she saw the "I love my friends.." doodled with the bright marker. The crying girl (who had a stellar attendance record) said she was sorry and would wash it off and do detention, but the school cracked down hard and she is now suspended. Makes you wonder why the same state paroles repeat drunk drivers and drug dealers but throws away the key on a desk doodler.
