New Jersey + NASCAR + drunk man with gun + annoying parrot = not so lucky parrot. A 67 year old man was enjoying 1 or 20 beers watching his beloved NASCAR on TV. His parrot "Mikey" would not stop babbling, interrupting his favorite sport (?). He pulled out his BB gun and shot Mikey dead. His wife freaked out and called the police. The man is charged with animal cruelty and could face 5-years in prison and a $15,000 fine. He should have just given Mikey some crackers to shut him up.
P.S. Please don't send me hate mail because of the play on words in the title. I love all animals and do not condone animal cruelty on any level. Linda, who was born in NJ, is even a total vegetarian because she can't stand the idea of an animal being injured. (Although neither one of us likes beer or NASCAR.)
