There was huge doings on the street behind our house on New Year's Eve. Neighbors dialed 911 to report the sound of a bad accident around 1:30 in the morning. The cops came with their sirens blaring, but did not see any accident so they left. About 10 hours later at 11:00 in the morning, a passerby found the crashed car. It had careened through a huge 6 foot fence, went through a big backyard and smashed into the back of someones house knocking the chimney crooked. The family was not home to report the accident, and it was so far off the road the cops did not see the car. We walked up to look at it before they towed the car away. It was the worst car crash Linda had ever seen. The man who was driving the car unfortunately died in the accident. I'm thankful my family all got home safe and sound on New Year's Eve.
