People are Kind
I ventured out today to take a walk. There is still a lot of snow and ice in our front yard, but I was a trooper and made my way down the hill without crying. Our driveway was one sheet of ice. Linda has not been able to get the mail or take the trash out. Our all-wheel-drive car goes up the driveway just fine, you just can't walk up the hill without sliding backwards. Linda almost fell and smashed her head on the wood wall this morning. When she got home at 1:30, the entire driveway was totally clear of ice and snow! She ran in to thank Tierney who admitted she did not do it. She said was sleeping when she head someone smashing up the ice and shoveling. She thought it was me, so she did not get up. It was so loud that she could not go back to sleep, and we all know she needs 14 hours of sleep a night. She finally decided to look out the window. There was a strange pick-up truck out front and some man shoveling away. If we get 4 more inches like we are supposed to, I wonder if he'll come back! We are going to pay-it-forward and look for an opportunity to do anonymously do something kind for someone else. (This photo can not be true, can it?)
