Linda got up very early today. Usually on Sunday we sleep until 7:00 a.m. Today, the alarm went off much earlier. For the last 4 years, Linda has driven to DC to run a 5K, Race for a Cure. Over 2 million dollars was raised to help research brain tumors. Her very good friend Carol, front row in the yellow tee shirt, has celebrated 10 years surviving her brain tumors. This is only part of her running team who were around for the photo. Since Linda was running, there is no way I could have gone since I would have gotten sea-sick with all the jiggling in my front pack. Besides, there were so many runners this year that when Linda crossed the finish line after 39 minutes, just as many people were starting out! It was so crowded in the narrow DC streets that sometimes she had to slow to a walk.
