Saving $$

Linda is so mad that she forgot to take Penelope photos today during her regular Thursday visit.  She made sure she dressed her in a cute outfit too.  Penny is really very vocal now, she's saying all sorts of repetitive sounds like "ba-ba-ba; ma-ma-ma and da-da-da"  So far she has not said "na-na-na" but Linda is working on it with her.

What a great sale on pet treats, one cent off!
Since Paul stopped to walk us before his Dr's appointment (Linda thought he would come after) and she left Penny's on the early side, Linda decided to go grocery shopping for the first time in a month.  She's been picking up smoothie stuff and chicken for us, but has been using up the food in her pantry, freezer and fridge to save $$. It's the longest Linda has gone without Diet Coke in the house (except for the year she went crazy and became a gluten-soda-coffee-caffeine-sugar free vegan.) She spent a little over $100 total, but that included cleaning supplies and a giant freezer pack of chicken for our suppers.  Some folks with larger families probably spend over $100 a week!

Check out the ring Linda designed online.  She is not going to buy it, but it was fun choosing the setting, birthstones and placing the names.  I told her it needs two more names and stones for Chimi and Choopie, but she said that you don't put dogs names on family rings.  Besides, it doesn't make sense to spend money on a ring that might become obsolete when more family members are added.
