It's not been a relaxing afternoon so far for Linda. She was hoping to get home from teaching at 1:15 able to relax and prepare for her church meeting tonight. It was a series of events that normally never happen, but decided all to happen at once. It all started last night while Penny was here. Linda left her plate of food on an end table to go and get Penny's milk from the freezer and put it in a cup of hot water to defrost. She kept her eye on Penny during the 2 minutes it took, but not her plate of food. It wasn't even Chim's fault this time! The
quesadillas smelled so tempting that I snagged it off her plate and ate all the cheese out of it! There were tiny little pieces of the flour tortilla all stuck to the couch. That was last night, but the results of the indulgence were evident when she got home from teaching. My stomach wasn't used to people food and I left her a mess to clean up on the hardwood floor. Since she was cleaning up, she decided to clean the rest of the house too. Thursday she bought a new super-duper cleaner that you mix with water and use a spray bottle. She wiped down the bathrooms and kitchens. By the time she finished the floors, she noticed a thin white coat of powder had dried on all the surfaces. It was a huge mess everywhere. She tried to re-clean it with her regular cleaner, and it just smeared the powder to a streaky finish. That's not the worst of it either. She dropped the giant ceramic pump soap dispenser in the kitchen and dish soap puddled all over the counter and dripped on to the floor she just cleaned! She has gotten most of it all straightened out, but she still has streaks on some of the surfaces. I can't believe she didn't stop what she was doing and take pictures along the way! It's now 1 1/2 hours later and shes just sat down for the first time. Oh.. one more thing. She started making the pumpkin bread to bring to her dinner gathering tonight and realized there were no eggs. Afterwards, she realized there wasn't any dish soap to clean up the dishes she used since the broken bottle drained out. She is turning off her phone and taking an hour nap to regroup and get ready for tonight. Kind of liking choosing "reset", she'll just start fresh when she wakes up. The streaks will have to wait until Sunday and she'll figure something out to bring tonight to contribute to the buffet.

One good piece of news, Chimi got a new coat today so he doesn't have to wear the pink sweater anymore. Linda hasn't tried it on him yet because he'll think its walk time and it's actually nap time. She can take it back if it doesn't fit because... ummm Chim, you look a little fat (or pregnant) in this photo. Maybe its time to lay off the treats.
