Early to Bed

There is light snow predicted for tomorrow.  Just a dusting, but as long time readers know... I HATE WALKING ON SNOWY SIDEWALKS.  Even if it's just a dusting, it bothers my paws and I demand to be carried.  Chim will have to go through at least a week of neurotic behavior before he gets used to the snow.  He's finally not afraid of the crunchy leaves on the sidewalk, although he did freak out last Tuesday night when a loud one crunched behind him.  Linda has thought about little boots for me, but she already knows I won't walk in them, so why waste the money.
These actually don't look to bad.  They are made to protect little paws from frostbite.  I think the pup is pretty cute too, although her grooming job is terrible.  It kind of looks like the time Linda and Jerry tried to groom me with clippers in the kitchen.

Even though it's not yet 9 p.m., Linda is going to bed.  She'll have to wait until morning to find out who the President will be for the next 4 years.   Lately she seems to be so tired that the best option is to go to bed early or suffer through a day of slow-motion classes.  I'm glad Jerry came and walked us earlier tonight.  I did amazing on the walk and didn't ask to be carried once.  Chim has never had issues with needing to be carried.  It's a good thing because he's super heavy for a Chihuahua.
Happy 7th Month Birthday Miss Penny

Linda saw 2 more deer on the way home tonight.  These were right up near the road, just like the one this morning.  What's the deal deer?  Don't you know it's dangerous to feed that close to cars.  Plus, remember what happened to Bambi's Mom?  There are a lot of country-boy hunters around that might just shoot you out of their truck window and quickly load your carcass into the pickup bed.
