Walk Me

It's National Dog Walking Week! I did my part by taking at least one long walk every day this week. We just got home from a chilly afternoon jog/walk. The fall weather is perfect for trail walks. It is estimated that at least 75% of dogs in shelters are there do to lack of exercise. Behavior issues such as aggression, destruction and separation anxiety issues are from dogs being cooped up or crated all day. Then when the owner gets home and sits on the couch to watch TV, the poor dog just lays there bored out of it's skull. Plus, not getting exercise and fatty foods leads dogs to develop medical issues like diabetes, heart disease and the number one killer of dogs.... cancer. Get out and walk Fido!
