This is a scary statistic. Did you know 1 in 3 dogs will get cancer in the lifetime. If we reach the age of 10, it's 1 in 2 dogs. I wonder if poor Snickers had cancer in his last days. He was in such pain and could not walk up and down steps at all. Licorice cat died from cancer and he was 10 years old. Chip cat is now 12 and is still going strong. Researchers have been working hard to find a way to get a heads-up on cancer in pets. There is a new blood test for dogs to detect cancer. It is almost 95% reliable and only costs about $100. From now on, Linda is going to get me tested at my yearly checkup. Hats Off to the Dr.'s!
