Please Sir, May I Have Some More?

This morning Linda broke open a can of the new food she bought us. Remember, I didn't like the same brands dry food? (The one that Linda needs a gas mask to clean up after Chimmie?) Well the wet food, NOM..NOM..NOM! It was amazing. There are little chunks of carrots, sweet potatoes and chicken, (real chicken not rendered chicken) is the first ingredient. I ate it all and licked my empty bowl for about a minute before I realized it wouldn't make more food magically appear. Since I'm the finicky eater and Chim eats anything, this must be the best food on the planet.

Chill Pill

Linda had such a great Water in Motion class tonight. Right now, it's one of her favorite classes to teach. Sometimes, she gets in the pool... other times she stays on the side. Tonight, she had 4 men and 5 women take class. The guys were jumping and splashing so much she thought there was going to be a tidal wave. I was hoping for a walk when she got home, but it was too cold out and she was way too tired and needed to rest. Instead, she put on her Onesie (kind of like a Snuggie with feet) and we've been relaxing on the couch watching TV. Even Chimmie is cooperating and sitting still for once in his life. If he keeps being so good, Linda said she would get him a chill pill toy. Oh, Life is Good!

Mom??

I love this photo of Linda, Tier and baby Noah. As you can see, he is the cutest baby ever. He's looking at his Mommy saying, "Help... these ladies are won't stop hugging me!" I know how he feels, sometimes they won't stop hugging me either! (Just kidding, I love the hugs and kisses Linda and Tierney give me.)

Might Be Too Much Information For Some

Remember yesterdays story about the 4 giant bags of dog food Linda bought home? I'm still not liking it, but Chimmie is gobbling it up and asking for seconds. There is one GIANT problem though. The Smell, and not from the actual food either!! We had been eating this special Royal Canine Chihuahua food. It says on the bag that it reduces odor from our "outings" (you know, those presents we leave Linda to clean up on our walks.) She never believed this because before I even had that food, I never left anything that smelled even a little offensive (This is fact, I'm not just saying this because I am a sweet little puppy.) She thought all little dogs left droppings that did not smell. OH NO.... THIS IS NOT TRUE! After 2 full days of eating the new food, Chimmie's leaving the worst, and I mean absolute worst smelling poops. Thank goodness that he is using the pee-pee pad when he has an emergency. Last night, Linda was in the hallway bathroom with the door shut getting ready for bed. Chimmie was in the bedroom bathroom with the door shut. She smelled it from down the hallway, through the bedroom and two closed doors away!! I think she'll be donating the food to a needy dog.

Sale of the Century

Linda came home lugging 4 big bags of dog food yesterday, not to mention a bunch of cans. While she was at her favorite pet store to buy us more food, she saw this brand on sale. Chimmie will eat ANYTHING, I really mean that too. If Linda isn't quick enough, he'll eat his own .... (gross!) This isn't what we normally eat, but when Linda saw the price, she could not resist. The bags were on sale for $2 each and the cans were .40 cents each! The regular price was much, much more than that. The reason she didn't buy even more is because it's puppy food and Chimmie is not going to be a puppy forever. I get boiled chicken, a teaspoon of canned food and a few dry kibbles in my bowl. He gets 90% kibble bites. Oh, he loves the new food. Me, on the other hand, would not eat my regular mixture with the new kibble mixed in. I'm so fussy.

This isn't the first time she's found a sale like this. Our Giant Food had boxes of 100 pee-pee pads on sale for $4.00. She bought 6 boxes. At Pet Smart, 100 pads can cost $49.00. At the time, it was just me living here. She thought it would last my lifetime. Since Chimmie came, we are already into our second box! When I pee, it's the size of a quarter. When he pees it looks like someone spilled a huge bottle of Mountain Dew!

P.S. She did check online for a recall on the food as soon as she got home. The date on the bags is also good. I guess the store is just not going to carry this brand anymore so they wanted it off their shelves.

Happy Stuffed Groundhog Day

It rained all night long. If it would have been a few degrees colder, we might have woken up to at least 3 feet of snow! Since our walks have been far and few between, this is very good news indeed. If we could just make it through the rest of winter without another snow storm, it would be marvelous. I wonder if that fat hog saw its shadow this morning? I don't know if this is fact or rumor, but I read that one of the Pennsylvania weather predicting groundhog died last year on (Groundhog Day) and they are using his stuffed carcass instead. This just can't be true. How morbid! He does look cute in his outfit though.

GHD+SAD=DUH

I think I have a bad case of Seasonal Affective Disorder. (SAD) That could explain why I've been so mopey and lethargic. Tomorrow is Ground Hog Day. Supposedly, if a Pennsylvania Hog named Phil comes out of his hole and it's cloudy outside, we're good to go. No more snow and yuck. If the sun is shining and he sees his shadow, then things are not so good. Winter will be around for six more weeks. (I could have this backwards though.) Anyway, if GHD is Feb. 2nd and the first day of spring is not until March 20th, isn't that more than six-weeks? Duh. Plus, Groundhogs are so fat how can they even squeeze out of the hole!
