We don't put up decorations for Christmas. It's been a long time since Linda decorated or put up a tree. It's not because we are bah-humbug or think it's stupid, it's mostly cause she doesn't care about that part of Christmas. Boy, has she gotten grief from people for not putting up any sort of Christmas bling. A few years back, Tierney decided we needed one, so she and a friend went and cut one down and hauled it to her house. Er..... Thanks Tier, I think. Since she did not bring a stand, Linda had to spend $20 on something to make it stand up. We don't have decorations, so Linda stuffed all her Christmas/Winter Starbucks bears into the branches. (It actually looked cute!) Chip cat knocked it down a bunch of times and it ended up spreading needles everywhere. Imagine if we had a tree with Chimmie in the house? What a nightmare! Linda knows to prepare for all the people who are going to blast her with their opinion about how horrible she is not to decorate. She is thinking of buying this Reason for the Season Christmas sweat shirt and wearing it to church everyday for the coming weeks. Do you think that would appease all the decorators?
