So Cute!

Linda loves working in the church nursery on Sunday nights. I love it too because she smells wonderful when she comes home. The smell of baby spit-up is so divine. Sunday after duty, I lick and smell her clothes while she is in the shower. She said there are anywhere from 10-14 babies all under 1 years old. There are 4 or 5 people who love and care for the infants. Sometimes, they all cry at once (the babies, not the workers... although I'm sure they want to cry sometimes too because of all the noise) and things get a little crazy. What a great invention this new product is! These hand-shaped pillows prop the baby while they are laying down. It must feel like his mommy is holding him while he sleeps. Linda is going to order some to bring to the nursery. I'm hoping she'll order an extra pair for me to keep in the kitchen while she is gone. I would be so secure and safe if I had my own pillow hands.

Amazing! Batter Blaster!!

Since I have been little, I have been mesmerized by pancakes. Since Linda does not eat wheat, she makes vegan, gluten-free pancakes once in awhile. It's so much work, so we rarely have them. This new product, released in stores just this week, is the perfect solution for fast and easy Choopie-cakes. I love the name... the Batter Blaster! It is even organic. Just point the nozzle over the frying pan and spray away. Think of the possibilities. You could add all sorts of toppings like chunks of sausage. When Linda saw the Batter Blaster can, she got kind of weirded out. Once when she was in her early 20's, a man tried to break into her apartment while she slept. He had a can of Cheeze-Wiz with him to use as a weapon when he got inside. The police got there in time, but he dropped the Wiz as he made his escape. Every time Linda sees cheese in a can, she gets scared.

I wish I knew mouse to mouse resuscitation

Oh horrors of all horrors! Chip caught a dumb mouse from somewhere. She was trying to be nice to me and give me a present. She killed it dead and then left it up against the gate into the kitchen since she could not get in to give it to me in person (I mean in cat.) Anyway, when Linda came home tonight she found it just laying there. Yuck! She had to pick it up with a paper towel and fling it outside. Chip was positively indignant and glared at her for a full five minutes because she threw away the mouse gift. Chip's heart was in the right place, but I really would have preferred something vinyl with a squeaker inside.

He Lips, He Scores!!

I just watched the most amazing clip on You Tube. I still can't believe it is true. You must go to You Tube and watch "The R2 Fish Training School Kit" video. You start with a regular gold fish, not a stunt fish... your own dumb fish who lives in a bowl. Before long, the fish is playing soccer, football, basketball and performing incredible stunts right before your eyes! Linda better buy me a goldfish right now and get the Training Kit. I will be entertained watching Goldie while she is at work. I just half to watch it again, I'll write more later.

Playing Opossum

When it rains it pours, deer stories that is. How can there be so many crazy deer in the news lately? A hunter was out hunting Bambies (shame on him) when he shot big buck. The hunter, Randy Goodman, walked up to the dead dear, or so he thought. A few seconds later, the 9-point 240 pound buck jumped up and attacked the hunter. I did not know deer played opossum! Randy was able to stagger to his truck and drive to the hospital where he received seven staples in his head and was treated for a slight concussion. Unfortunately, the Bambi died from his wounds. I think they should cut off Randy's head and mount it on the wall instead of the deers. O.K., that might be a little severe. Just cut off his ears and mount them since they would probably only mount the deers antlers anyway.

And the Moral of the Story is......

Some churches do fun things to try and get people interested in attending. Linda's church sometimes does soccer or football tournaments. This coming Saturday, Taylor is running a big flag football tournament. A few times a year they do a huge kids fair with clowns, moon bounces, puppet shows (Tierney's puppet is always the star) and a cookout with hot dogs and cookies. This church seemed to have it's heart in the right place, but the sign kind of made me sit up and do a double take. I'm not sure you should show a photo of a friendly pig and have a petting zoo on the same poster that says there will be a BBQ. I'll have to tell Tierney about it. Maybe she can write a puppet show about a pig who goes to a church picnic and finds out he is lunch. Pigs should probably stay away from BBQ's, even if they are at churches.

Smile, You're on Choopies Blog

I am always on the lookout for a new brother or sister. Linda saw the photo of this miniature Pinzer named Diesel on the net. Is this guy positively the happiest dog you ever saw? He looks like he could be my best friend. Unfortunately, he is not up for adoption, but maybe we can look for one just like him.
