Would You Try Finger Sporks?
Linda would love to turn the comments section on this blog, but she hates those "type these letters in the box" tests so the spam gets blocked. Every time she tries to comment on a blog that has them, she gives up because after 3 attempts. Is it just her or do other people have problems reading them?
Once she actually turned the comments on without the spam test and you know how that went. I do publish my email (chalupa@live.com) and have gotten some feedback on posts, but it's not the same. Linda reads 5 blogs daily. She never comments, but she does read the other peoples comments. Why are they all so glowing and wonderful? Do the people blogging only allow comments to be shown that praise their post? When we had ours on, people blasted me constantly because I was a dog from a pet store and not a rescue dog. People hate that it is a dog writing and not a person. (In case you are confused, it's really a person so calm down.) People accused Linda of buying me from a bad breeder who abuses dogs. Some posts said I was a designer dog (bred to be really tiny) and that was wrong to do. Yes, I did come from a pet store, but it was a Mom & Pop pet store that had been in her town for 25 years. It was mostly supplies, but every once in a while people would bring in a litter of puppies to consign. I was in the pet store exactly 8 hours before Linda bought me home. Maybe she'll try it again and see. It could have been a few bad apples who just kept leaving unsigned comments. The days when there are over 50 hits in an hour she would really like to know what people are thinking about the post. Hum.. to comment or not to comment?
Are You Serious?
I'm really hoping the vet is making a mountain out of a pimple. When Linda was checking me for ticks yesterday after the trail walk, she found a hard bump near my shoulder. I would not let her look through my fur to pull it off, and kept twisting away. Normally, I will lay in whatever position she puts me in for as long as she wants because I'm a very submissive dog around her. When she finally got me still enough and found the bump, it wasn't a tick at all. It was a flesh colored pimple. She thought nothing of it until she checked it again today. Now its changed color and has crusty top to it.
She sent the photo to the Vet and they were concerned enough to want to see me right away. Linda told the Dr. I was fine otherwise, eating, drinking, not limping and playing just like normal, it just hurt when she touched it. They said they had to biopsy it to see if it was malignant! What? Linda is sure it's just a pimple, bug bite or raised mole she never noticed before. Just great. The last thing I want to do is go back to the Vet and the last thing Linda needs is another Vet bill!

Watermelon is a Vegetable
Check out some of these adorable watermelon carvings. It would be so much fun to make some of these.
He Could Spray Paint it Green
It's a good think that Linda is really OK with her lawn being dead. It's ugly to look at, but that's it. Hopefully when the seed gets put down in the fall, it will grow green again. Compared to what this homeowner had happen to his 40,000 sq. ft lawn, Linda's tiny patch of brown is nothing. The man went to a garden center and took some time choosing a weed-killer. Two employees helped him find just what he was looking for, or so they thought. He purchased 5 bottles of the $35 dollar mixture and seven days later, his entire lawn was dried and dead. You have to watch the video to believe it. You can see where he missed spreading the weed killer, because the grass is beautiful in little strips. He called the company who makes the product and was told he should have peeled off the label on the bottle and looked on page 8 in the tiny print where it says it will also kill all the grass and future grass. Besides a terrible looking lawn, the guy is the founder of a fundraiser for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Last year they raised $20k for the organization (he has two sons who have the disease.) He had to cancel the event this year because of the product he used. They can't even sod for 6-months because the soil is ruined too.

Puppy Love
Linda can't ever imagine not having a dog (or two, maybe three?) in her life. We love Linda so much, we can't help but shower her with love and kisses. We keep her laughing and totally entertained. She was playing with us on the floor when all of a sudden we both decided at the same time to show her our appreciation. Puppy Kisses Rock!

All the romping on the carpet got my hair full of static electricity. I look a like a baby lion.
