Happily Ever After

The skit was so hilarious that Linda was crying from laughing so hard!  It was a fairytale theme of the Disney version of falling in love and living happily ever after.  Tierney was Snow White. She had a scene where she learns that Beauty is marrying Beast that bought the house down.  Cinderella and Prince Charming as newlyweds having their first argument was also very funny.  Way to go Tierney! You wrote an amazing skit.  There was one panicked moment before they went on when Tier had a wardrobe malfunction.  Linda had to rush to Target to get a pair of tights for her.  It was the best skit ever!  Well, it could have been a wee bit better if I could have played Lady and Chim played Tramp.  We could have recreated the spaghetti scene where they fall in love.

Skit Night

Wizard of Oz  (I was Toto)
Tonight is Tierney's debut of the skit she wrote.  The entire skit has been kept top secret, but there are a few rumors that it is going to be about relationships.  It was supposed to be performed on Valentine's Day, but the timing did not work out.  Tier wrote the half that deals with being single and another woman (who is married) did the marriage part.  Since Tierney has never been married, she didn't think she could do the subject justice.  They have been practicing for months and had at least 4 full rehearsals this week already along with dress rehearsal last night and one again this afternoon.  The last skit she wrote and directed "Lost" was amazing.  Linda will be bringing the camera, so check back after 10 p.m. to see some of the cast photos.  Until then, here are a few from past skits.

A Bobble-Head live action puppet

Scrooge??  She can't remember for sure.

Fashion Dilemma

The most elegant Snuggy ever!
Linda is still grateful about her impromptu evening last night; but her glute, abductor and hip are not too happy.  She wore high-heeled boots last night to dinner since she thought she would be just sitting in the restaurant for 2 hours.  Since she ended up walking for the entire time, the boot choice turned out to be a horrible idea.  I think it's time she goes and sees chiropractor Dr. Doug.  Tierney has almost the same issue Linda does, the pain radiates down her leg from the sciatic nerve being pinched.  Tier has seen Dr. Doug 3 times this week and he has helped her tremendously.  Right now Linda is debating not wearing her new outfit to church since it does require heels.  What would Ruby Woo do?  Would she say "Wear the outfit and just rock a pair of leopard flats with confidence even though it does not match"  or  "You must suffer a little bit for the sake of fashion?"  Maybe Linda should just wear her snuggy and Ugg slippers.  She has been tempted to wear that exact outfit on a Sunday night when she has nursery duty.  The babies would LOVE cuddling under the soft snuggy and if they throw-up, it can be just thrown in the wash.  If Linda was the Nursery Coordinator, she would make a law that all workers MUST wear a snuggy during their time of service. As you can tell by Chimmie's delight this morning, even pup's love the leopard snuggy.

Gratefulness

Well, Linda's plans tonight did not turn out like she thought they would. The group she was supposed to have dinner with ended up being over an hour late for the meet-up time.  But you know what?  She ended up having a wonderful time anyway.  They were meeting at the Town Center which has excellent shopping.  Linda rarely ever just has time to kill to browse in stores and try stuff on for fun.  Then she found out that Tierney was at the same Center for a birthday dinner!  Tier was just leaving the restaurant where the party was, so she was able to walk around for awhile with her.  And to make the night complete, a pair of boots at Banana Republic were on sale for 75% off.  Linda had been looking at the boots online forever and knew they were too expensive.  There was one pair left... in her size!  Plus, Tier found a dress on sale for under $10!! at the same store. She ended up not eating dinner with her friends, but there will always be another time.   Lesson for the evening:

One of the keys to finding lasting joy is to not let your circumstances interrupt your gratefulness.

Double Walkers!

Why is Linda the only one smiling?  And what's up with the rifle??
Whee!  It was the best dog-walker day ever.  By accident, BOTH Jerry and Paul came to walk us.  When Linda did not hear from Jerry, she called Paul Walker while she was at the gym to see if he could walk us.  Turns out Jerry was coming, he just didn't let Linda know and he got a 3 hour late start.  Paul already had us out on the trail when Jerry pulled up.  He saw Paul's car and called his cell.  Using his tracking skills, he cut through the woods to try and find us.  He actually got lost, but finally met up with us on the trail.  We had such an amazing time.  I loved having Jerry hold my leash while Paul Walker held Chimmies.  When Linda got home at almost 2:00 p.m., they were still at the house talking.  Both guys are huge comic book/sci-fy nerds, so they were able to catch-up and visit with each other.  Jerry was even able to fix some of her iTune issues before they both left.  Linda just got done showering and will be meeting up with her friends in about an hour.  This photo is from Paul's birthday dinner a few years ago.  He doesn't look to happy to be getting one year older does he?

Olden Days

We are trying to figure out a way to organize all our photos on the laptop.  Right now, there are 100 different folders labeled "Noah" and "Dogs".  Last night while Linda was trying to stay awake to avoid putting Chim back into his bed, she went through all the years of photos in this Picture software application she has.  It lists the photos by months and years.  The weird thing is some of the 2010 photos were showing up again in the 2008 section, so she is not sure how it works.  She found a few old memories while she was browsing.

I do have some sexy legs though
What in the world was she thinking making me wear this stupid dress?  When I first came home, she was super excited to dress me up, but that wore off in about 20 minutes after she saw how uncomfortable I was.  This was my one and only dress and I only wore it for the amount of time it took to take this picture.

We still have this awesome paneling
Oh, it's my Daddy/BFF/Protector/Best Dog in the World  Snickedoodles!   He taught me all about being a dog and how to be calm submissive.  Gosh, Linda can't help but tear up ever single time she sees his photo or thinks about him.  He outweighed me by about 75 pounds, but he was so gentle and careful with me.  There are photos of me dangling from his ear, chewing on his neck and biting his tail.  He just would lay there and sigh with happiness.

He's practicing his CPR on me
Sometimes, I would stick my whole head into his mouth.  It wasn't all fun and games.  He also would discipline me if I needed it with a hard nose nudge or nip.  Did I mention I loved him and that we miss him terribly?  Stay tuned for some more old photos in future posts.

He's So Handsome

Lover Boy

Linda felt so guilty for leaving poor Chimichanga in his den for so long this afternoon and evening.  She did manage to come home after her classes and let us both outside and feed us dinner while she took a quick shower.  Then she went back out to the basketball game then over to a friends for some food and fun.  When she got home, she bundled up and took us on a long, long walk.  It was pretty dark in some areas, but at least she wasn't freezing.  I walked the entire time too!  She kept asking me if I wanted to be carried, and I just walked faster.  When I get too tired, I'll stop walking and just stare up at her waiting to be picked up.  Chim got home and did his normal 32 laps speeding around the living room, dining room and down the hallway.  He goes so fast it's just a black blur.  Linda has not heard from Jerry, so I don't know if we'll be getting walked while she is gone tomorrow.  If not, she will be sure to take us the second she gets home.  Now she just wants to go to bed, but she is going to give Chim another half-hour before he has to go back into his bed.
