You're Getting Sleepy
I'm not sure you should watch this right before bed, but definitely watch it when you are in a bright room with other people around. I thought it was scary living with Chip and her moods, this cat is downright creepy.. and so is the owner.
Beware of Coyotes
I can't remember if I've already reported on this, but it was in the news again today, so I figured it would be good to remind everyone. Northern Virginia has had a resurgence of coyotes prowling our woods. Small dogs and cats have already been killed in attacks. The reports are warning people to keep their pets inside at night and not let them off leash during wooded walks.
One time last year Linda thought she saw a coyote running in our woods, but it was probably just a mangy dog running lose. She is studying all the characteristics of coyotes just in case. Look! The black nose, pointed muzzle, long legs, large upright triangular ears, sharp teeth, brown/cream/black coat sounds exactly like Chimi. The only difference is the body shape. Chim is skinny as a pencil and the coyote body looks thick.

Three Unreleated Things
| "Watcha 'ya doing Nana?" |
Speaking of sleeping, Chim spent the day with PW. He usually fights a nap while he's there, he just wants to play-wrestle and take long walks. While Linda was driving him home, he was almost falling asleep in the car while he was sitting up.
Guess what our neighbors in the backyard have put right against our fence? No, not a pretty tree or flowering bush. It actually looks like they installed a hot-tub inches from our yard. Hopefully, it's just being stored there and they will move it. How weird would it be for Linda to be enjoying her deck time in the evening and seeing people soaking in the hot-tub. Their backyard already looks junky, this is just such an eyesore. Maybe Linda can plant a big bush in front of the fence so she can't see it.
Hero Belle
I love stories when a dog saves the day. Usually, it's some kind of trained search and rescue dog or a professional K-9 police dog. This time it was a wee Chihuahua named Belle. Two girls, ages 5-8 got lost in the woods surrounding their home in Georgia. Police and firefighters (along with trained tracker dogs) could not find the lost girls and had been searching for hours. A neighbor heard the commotion outside and noticed his Chi was going crazy. He let the dog out and Belle immediately picked up the girls scent and led authorities right to the lost girls! Both children love Belle and play with her everyday. Yay! for hero Chihuahuas. Both girls are fine and now reunited with their parents. I hope some dog-food company donates free kibble for a year to Belle's owner. He seemed like a very nice man.
Since the pictures of Bell said "all rights reserved, blah-blah-blah, Linda decided to feature another Chihuahua. Our very own Chimi! I know if I ever got lost, he would track me down in an instant.
Read the story yourself and watch the video of Bell the heroic rescuer.

World Cutest Puppy Take 2
There is a new "World Cutest Puppy" on the Net. Denver is a Nova Scotia Duck Trolling Retriever. OK, I admit.. this dog is adorable but I think the owners photography skills in catching him doing cute things has a lot to do with it.
No this isn't Denver, it's ME! I think I need to start a campaign for the Worlds Cutest Puppy. I'm technically not a puppy, but neither is Denver. He's all grown up now, the photos on the link are from when he was a baby.

What Day is It?
We've been slacking on our blogging. Linda had no idea we didn't put a post up yesterday. It's like the days are going by so fast she still thought it was Monday instead of Tuesday. This morning when the alarm went off, she was confused where she was supposed to go to teach. There are 4 different gyms and all different class times. After a few minutes she figured out it was Wednesday and that meant YMCA. At least she only has 3 classes today and no subs, it's almost like a day off!
Jerry came last evening for our walk. We did an hour and I didn't have to be carried at all. Jerry lets me pick the route so it always stays exciting and interesting. Linda read on Facebook that there was a big storm with hail while she was at the gym. She never even knew it was raining. There are no windows in the pool area and with all the splashing going on, you can't hear anything outside. When she left the gym, everything was just soaked. She wondered how Jerry was able to walk us, but it must not have come to our house.
I should report that Chim seems like he's better from whatever was ailing him. Of course he's still nuts, but just his normal nuttiness and nothing out of the ordinary. The other day Linda bought him this cool little ball that has a hole in it. You fill it with treats and as the dog plays with it, little treats pop out. She thought it would be his favorite toy ever. He loves balls and he loves treats. She should have known that the sound of the treats inside the plastic ball would terrify him. He won't go near it and shies away when Linda rolls it towards him.
Penny is growing so fast and is still acting like a 2 year old instead of a 4 month old. She really is so advanced that Linda is sure she'll be walking and talking way ahead of the norm. Taylor was baking some chocolate chip cookies while Penny watched from the counter. He turned around to get something and when she turned back, Penny was trying to sneak some chocolate chips out of the bag! (I'm sure it was a total coincidence that she reached in the bag, but it looks like she knows what she is doing.)
